Blueberry Mexican Grill & Bakery is a small family-run spot on Coney Island Avenue in Midwood, Brooklyn. We opened the doors with a simple idea — make the kind of Mexican food we grew up eating, the right way, and put a real bakery case in the front so people could grab a fresh concha with their morning coffee.
Every morning, the cooks are in early. The beans are cooked from dry, the rice is made fresh, the tortillas are pressed in-house, and the salsa is roasted the same day it ships. The bakers come in even earlier — by 4 AM the dough is mixed, and by the time we open at 6 the conchas are still warm.
We don't do shortcuts. We don't do "fast casual." We do real Mexican food, made the right way, served by people who care about it. The bakery case isn't a marketing gimmick — it's the reason people come back three, four, five times a week.
